This week’s retro trailer is for the traditional 1984 sci-fi journey movie The Ice Pirates. I liked watching this film once I was a child! It was a lot enjoyable and it’s been perpetually since I revisited it, however watching this trailer makes me need to just do that!
The Ice Pirates takes us on a wild and wacky journey by way of house and the story is about within the distant future, the place water is probably the most helpful useful resource within the universe. It follows a ragtag group of misfit pirates who set sail on a quest for frozen treasure. Led by the charming and quick-witted Jason, performed by the dashing Robert Urich, this motley crew faces house battles, quirky aliens, and weird planets, all of their quest for the final word plunder: ice!
On their journey, the pirates encounter an assortment of zany characters, together with a gorgeous and fierce princess, a robotic with a style for mischief, and a band of Templars with a peculiar fascination for castration. With every new encounter, the crew finds themselves in much more outrageous conditions, mixing slapstick comedy full of enjoyable motion.
As our heroes navigate the hazards of the galaxy, they uncover the significance of friendship, loyalty, and standing up for what’s proper. This 1984 cult traditional is a must-watch for anybody looking for a pleasant mix of sci-fi, comedy, and journey.
